Judgment in favor of a 56-year-old woman who sustained a broken leg when she fell down a flight of stairs. Plaintiff’s attorney alleged that the stairs violated the Chicago Building Code as the stair risers and treads were not uniform. Defendant offered $100,000 prior to trial.
