Settlement in favor of a 52 year-old man who was struck by a security company van as he was crossing the street. Plaintiff sustained a colon tear and punctured diaphragm requiring surgery. Defendant alleged plaintiff was crossing the street against a red light. Plaintiff alleged that defendant was traveling at an excessive rate of speed and was negligent in failing to stop for the plaintiff.
